american pitbull feeding ; recipes for pitbull food;

Question
I have a 3 year American Pit. She has had itchy/dry irritated skin constantly. Vet gave me meds but it came right back. I decided to make homemade dog food for her. After weaning her off the junk store brand, I have been feeding her the following once a day plus 3 fish oil capsules.
2 c. cooked chicken
one cup extra wide egg noodles
1 c. cooked white rice.

Is this enough for her and is she getting all of her nutrients she needs? There are so many sites here and I'm lost. I recently lost my job and i really cannot afford expensive alternatives. Anything you could help me with sure would be appreciated.

Hi Pat, Your pitbull needs a little more ingredients to balance out your home cooking:
Here are some ideas for you to try:

1.  Give her 1/2 cup of low fat cottage cheese - mixed into some chicken - 3 x per week....
2.  How about 1 cup of low fat yogurt ( 2 x per week ) mixed into some chicken
3.  Don't feed Noodles and rice at the Same time (* choose one)
4.  Use some cooked ground lamb and skip the chicken ,on a few days each week.
5.  Drop the fish oil down to just 2 per day
6.  Add some TUMS - 3 per day / ( adds x-tra calcium)
7.  Add 1 NuVET Plus vitamin - Balances out the cooking....
(* NuVET will heal the itchy skin, too)- Allergy Blaster....
8.  Add 1/2 cup of sweet potato or green beans ( canned) - a few x per week.
9.  Buy some bonemeal at the local health store - 1 teaspoon per day
