Question
Hello, I hope you can guide me a little bit. I have been always really worried about the diet of my little westie boy, his first 3 years of life I cooked for him, but because of lack of time I decided to start giving him dry food (he is now 4), I started to read a lot and I came up with Flint River Ranch (fish & Trout)(his current kibble), I mixed it with some Evangers wet food (100% duck,100% buffalo,100% venison) he likes it. But then I received this Natural supplements (Springtime) and now I mixing his food (wet and dry) with Bug Off Garlic (supposedly it helps to avoid fleas and now I am not giving him the Advantix thing (that I hate because is not natural at all)and Longevity (that is like the supreme product from this company (springtime.com). In the morning he has 2 tablespoons of cottage cheese and honey (he loves it).
He is doing fine, except that he still have some problems with the skin, and now with his annual exam he showed yeast in his stool. So i am not sure if what I am giving him is good. What would you recommend, have you heard of Flint River? and what about Springtime?
I would appreciate your help in having your advice regarding the food and the supplements and keeping in mind that even though my dog is healthy he has a really sensitive stomach and skin. How can i treat the yeast infection?
THANKS

Answer
Hi Adriana,  Well, you have done a Wonderful job with all your choices!
VERY well done!
How about just adding some ACTIVIA yogurt to his diet for 2 weeks?  ( this has a natural probiotic that will help to fight off the excessive overgrowth of yeast)
Give the plain or van flavored Activia ( 3 ounces per day ) for the 2 weeks.
They will help the gut's excess yeast.

I would continue with your program.
Good luck
