Question
hi my friend told me not to ask my vet 4 a suggestion on puppy food what should i do what would you think will be alright 4 my toy poodle

Answer
Vets don't always know everything about nutrition, this supported by the fact that many vets sell and recommend Science Diet, which is not the greatest food.

Look for something with no by-products, not grocery store brand, high in protein.  The best place to look is www.dogfoodanalysis.com and read the review of a food before you buy it.

Some great brands to look for:  Blue Buffalo (at PetSmart), Innova Evo, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Solid Gold, Wellness (at Petco), Natural Balance (Petco), Merrick, California Naturals, Fromm.  Any of these will be good foods.
