Question
hello, i have been doing alot of research and find it to be all confusing. i have 2 chihuahuas one 11 months and one 10 months and want a better and healthier food for them. my 11 months l1 month old has chronic diarhea and the vet is treating it as ibd and put him on science prescription diet dd and medication. i want to try him on homecooked food as someone told me it would benefit him and my other dog but don't know where to begin and plus im a little scared with all i have been through with my little babys problem so wanted some advise. i was given a food mixture of boiled chicken , rice , green beans and some pumpkin mix but haven't tried it yet so maybe you could give me some advice. thank you Debbie

Hello Debbie - yes, the Science diet food is just an OK food and "home cooking" will be much better for both of your chi doggies!

You are doing a good job with your current recipe - you are missing some vitamins but a supplement will help.
Yes the Chicken, white or brown rice ,  canned -green beans ( very small amount)and a small amount of canned pure pumpkin or sweet potato.

Even better would be using a the SoJo mixes for the two kids.
GRAIN free ( the green bag) of SoJo mix is ALMOST home cooked with a little help from the SoJo Folks.
My maltese loves her SoJo-
Many stores sell SoJo all over the world or you can order here and get FREE shipping -

You add your own meats - I would stick with white meats.
Don't do any red meats...( you add your own cooked meats to the sojo mix.

Also, each chi should have 1/2 a wafer of NuVET per day or 1/2 a teaspoon of the NuVET powder supplement.
Wonderful immune system booster and GENERAL Vitamin/ GREAT to aide in digestion, too.
Helps to get rid of x-tra bacteria in the gut.

Tell them you are working with Pet Nurse Marie of All Experts.
USE order code 81098...

It will cost you about .30 cents per day for each chi to take the NuVET program.

I do have some recipes but I bet the SoJo will go over well.
Then you don't have to worry about balancing the diet.
If you use the Chicken recipe, just make sure you use the NuVET -
Also, you will need to crush up a Tums and give that with the chicken daily.  ( for calcium)

BEST wishes to you
