Question
i have a 1.4 yr old pom chi and a 8.5 month old chichuahua(she is blind) i was wondering what dog food you recommend for small dogs, at present i am feeding them iams for small breeds.mattie dont seem to like it-winky eats pretty much anything!
also is it ok to mix dry and wet food together?i usually feed them 1 handful of dry and mix about 2 table spoons of wet (lamb and rice mix)
i just want to make sure they are happy with their foods unlike cats, my cats eat purina for all cats, theya re easy to feed and eat it.
what do i do with a picky eater???
thanks from lisa in british columbia canada

Answer

powder Nuvet or wafers
Hi Lisa-  A Pom and a Chi ...... Yes, I can help!
How about adding some SoJo home cooking to the program..
Much better than the Iams- I am NOT a fan of Iams at all because it has too much junk fillers in the mix.
Here is what I like:

Innova EVO
Wellness Core
Solid Gold brand
Merrick brand ( before grain )
ALSO - SoJo home cooking with a little help:  So EASY
see here : Sold all over the world-
You add lightly Cooked meat to the SoJo mix

Yes, it is fine to mix wet and dry foods - Just make sure you are feeding quality ...
also, a good supplement like the NuVET program - 1/2 teaspoon per day - NuVET will ship to Canada....Just ask:

or go to :

YOU are looking for the NuVET Plus in Powder - They also make a wafer but many little dogs like the powder better.
