Puppy not eating regularly

Question
Background:  Husky mix, 6 months old, we obtained her from the human society 3 months ago.  w/in her first week she came down w/ pneumonia.  She has since been cleared of pneumonia, but had to spend some time in the hospital.  During this endeavor, she was eating Nutro puppy food, but the vet made us switch to a higher calorie food b/c she lost weight (prescriptive can food - same vendor as science diet).  Since we switched her back to dry food she has been eating Nutro ultra puppy food.  She has been eating like clock work early morning & 5:30/6pm 1cup of food (and she would still be hungry).  In the past month, I started switching her over to Inova dog good (we had a sample, she liked it as a treat, and I thought the higher the protein the better).  In the past 2 weeks, she has not been eating regularly.  She started by only eating out of my hand, then she would not even eat out of my hand.  Now she is back to eating sometimes out of her bowl (she ate 3/4 c this morning), to not eating at all (she did not eat any dinner for my husband this evening).

Question:  Why could this be?

I thought maybe her growing spirts slowed down (she is 6 months old on Friday), or the food was more filling.

Answer
You are likely right on both counts, along with a little bit of a control issue :). Don't feed her from your hand. Put her food down in the morning, as much as she will eat in half an hour and pick it up. No treats during the day, put her food down again the evening, for half an hour and pick it up. Don't hover or watch her eat, or react at all to whether she does or doesn't. Innova is a better dog food with more kcal's (units of usable energy per cup of food) than Nutro or definitely canned food which is primarily water. Watch to be sure she isn't losing weight but keep her schedule etc the same. She will not starve and will soon learn not to play games with her people over her food. If she's eating well after a week of doing this say in the morning and not at night, split her morning meal in half and give her the second half at night. She WILL eat less INnova regardless
