Question
hello,
i have a two month old Chihuahua terrier mix and am currently feeding him wet food. i would like to know when he would be able to eat dry food and which brands are best?
thank you

Answer
Hi Maria
Baby can eat dry food now. Change him gradually over to a drier food by mixing his wet food in with dry puppy food, les and less until he is eating dry alone. Wet food is terrible for chi's teeth. Type dog food comparison chart into your search engine and it will bring up sites to compare food by quality and price. Stay away from anything you can buy at wal mart or the grocery store. My preferences are Chicken soup for the pet lovers, Flint River is great. Stay away from by products, beef, soy, wheat or corn , bha  or bht as preservatives are known carcinogens.
Add a good fish oil supplement (cod liver oil or a good omega three/6 supplement), Or you can even cook for baby. :)
Make sure he eats several small meals per day to stave off hypolycemia.
Good for you to find out what is best for your dog!!
Good job :)
