Need help feeding my bull terrirer

Question
maybe 3 years old, english  bull terrier, been to vet about a month ago, Iams weight control, no meds. She was found on the side of a express way in Queens ny, vet said she might be a throw away mom( had a few litters and then got rid of her)
I been trying to take her off wet food because i heard its bad for dogs in general, so i  have been adding less and less in to the dry food, till i am at the point now where its just dry with some warm water added to it( again I was told to do that) but she hasn't eaten for two days and its worrying me so this morning i mixed some wet in just so she would eat. what should i do or what food should i try , i cant afford to give her the BARF, since things are tight and I have enough trouble buying food for myself, I feel i can afford a good dog food that would make her happy.
Please give me some advice, PLEASE

Answer
Stephen,

In general, canned food is actually better than dry food when looking at the same brand because dry food requires a LOT of filler to be made into the little pellets. Canned food is typically less filler and more meat, which is ideal for canines. :) Evangers and Chicken Soup are both affordable brands of quality canned food. As long as she eats the canned, I would stick with it. If you notice any other signs of illness or she stops eating canned, take her to the vet right away. Hope this helps!
