My new puppy is a picky eater, again

Question
QUESTION: Oh also, I see you guys have been recommending Sojos, but I'm hoping there is
a way I can get her to eat dry food, not keep eating everything but. She can get
all the nutrients she needs with the great brands of dry food I'm buying her,
without spending A LOT of money. So I hope you can recommend some way to
cure this so I don't have to keep adding things to her kibble. Thanks!

ANSWER: I don't recommend Sojos, nor do I feel most dogs need an expensive food.  I was highly familiar with very successful, large, professionally managed programs feeding the foods many disparage, before there was so much on the net about dog food.  I have read other people's answers here and frankly they don't reflect the real world.  On of them has a website you can buy what she recommends.  I have my doubts about how much people know about dog nutrition that don't know the system of checking the dog's ribs to determine how much to feed.  It is neither new or rocket science.  I was trained to use it long before the work in that link I gave you was done.

I really think once the real problem is identified and fixed, you can go back to the Kirkland.  Or is you want, one of the common brands.  If you vet suggests Science Diet, it is OK too.

QUESTION: Oh and I forgot to add, she has grown very rapidly, no weight but a lot of height. She has long hair so I can't tell if her rips are showing but I can definitely feel almost all her bones pretty easily. The vet said she was pretty skinny but she wouldn't worry bc it was probably just stress. That was 2 weeks ago, and still no weight gain but she has grown a lot. I'm just worried that this rapid growth with little calories will take its tole on her

Answer
I can't feel the puppy's ribs, and you lack experience.  Your vet doesn't enjoy my confidence.  It could be you just need to let her eat the Kirkland she will and leave her be skinny.  I do know Poodles tend to be almost 2 dimensional compared to Labs.  They are half as wide.  Or she may have a problem another vet could find and fix.
