TYPE OF DOG FOOD

Hi, I just adopted a 5 month old Lhasa Aspo.  I would like to know what brand and type of food is best for her.  Thank you.

Well, I hope you have been feeding her something while waiting for an answer.  Chances are if you settled for any common brand, she is doing fine on it.  No matter what else you hear, most dogs will thrive on most chows.  

Dry chows are better for their jaws and teeth.  Concentrated, meat based ones leave you with smaller firmer stools that are easier to clean up.  The most critical thing is to not over feed them.  

Your dog definitely should be narrower at the waist than the hips and chest.
You should be able to easily feel the ribs, but not see them.  Each dog is
different.  Standard recommendations are a good place to start, but each dog
