Is cooked vegetables ok for an older dog. ( pertically potatoes and broccoli ).

Lightly steamed veggies are ok. make sure they are organic veggies and fruits (you should be using these too)or you are feeding your dog pesticides...NOT GOOD. White potatoes are horrid for dogs and sweet potatotes ok. Broccoli is fine as long as it organic and lightly steamed. If you cook it soft then don't bother giving it to them as you have cooked out all the nutrients and vitamins. Not all veggies and fruits are good for dogs so PLEASE DO SOME RESEARCH TO SEE which ones are not just acceptable but GOOD for them. You might want to consider a REAL FOOD SUPPLEMENT TOO. If you want more info, please write again as I have a working knowledge of what to give dogs..I have three and all three eat organically (meats, veggies and supplements). Good Luck. Sue
