Question
Hello, I have 2 Rottweiler puppies that are 10 weeks old, the male however, started exhibiting front leg shaking, stiffness,  walks oddly and  needs to stop to rest more and his feet are splayed. What food is best for him in order to get better? The breeder used to give Purina puppy chow but I bought now Purina one for large breeds. It has glucosamine and DHA but proteins levels are 28. Is this too high? Also puppies with this problem shoud get more or less calcium? I bought vitamins because I thought he needed more calcium but now I hear they need less calcium, so I am confused .I thank you for your advice!

Answer
Throw away the Purina. Type Dog Food Comparison Chart into your web browser and pick out a good dog food. No BHA/BHT no corn, wheat, or soy. No byproducts. Nothing you can buy at wally world or the grocery store is worth taking home.
What's happening to your puppy is called knuckling over. It's when the bones, muscles etc are growing in length and height but not in strength enough to support your puppies weight.
Check this website for suppliments for your pup.
