hot spots, allergy problems

Hi,
My 7 yr old (pure bred) lab has hot spots and ear troubles in the winter.  He swims in our pool during the summer, which probably masks some of his symtoms during that time.  We have switched food from Nutro to Nurtisource Pure Vida, which I was told to feed 3 30lb bags and then go to a different flavor, he is currently on the chicken and brown rice formula.  I also have a coonhound.  I have supplemented them with farm fresh eggs, organic yogurt, and other foods that are suppose to be good for them.  I vaccuum every other day, and wash their blankets on the days i vaccuum, to get rid of all the allergens.  I too am very allergic to the environment, and to my 4 legged boys as well.

Any suggestions for the hot spots?
