Question
Hello, I have my two dogs on the nuvet. I am under your number. Now, i need help with food. I have wrote to you before and you have helped me. I have a 16 pound yorkie pooh and and 18 pound pomeranium. I have a hard time getting them to eat their dry food. I have tried al the top brands and currently i am giving them instinct..rabbit meal, because it is so small i thought they would eat it and still have to put something in it to get them to eat it. I am thinking about going homemade and have no idea on weight and measurements. Can you help me out. Possibly mix the homemade with dry kibble. I want only the best for my boys.
thanks
pat

Answer
Hi Pat,  yes, Glad they are both taking the NuVET Plus!
I am going to refer you to a good canned food and also a recipe:
It's easy to home cook.  Just make sure you always give the NuVET wafer to balance your feeding.

The canned food - Life's Abundance - I have many doggie clients loving this food.
Also, they give you a 30 day money back guarantee.
SEE here: they will deliver to your door...
Go on auto ship and SAVE

Sample the cans here:  you can order 1 of each kind Or go for a case:

They also have a very good HOLISTIC dry kibble....
( Remember - money back guaranteed- Taste is guaranteed, too)

Easy Cooking : Be your Yorkie's and Pom's Chef:

For meats : use 1 pound cooked lean ground beef
Or
1 pound of white chicken breast ( boiled )- cut up into small cubes

Next, 2 cups of white rice ( cooked ) Or  brown rice
Use ( every-other-day)>>>  2 sweet potato or 2 average sized Yams  ( cooked and moist)
The Yam must be mushed or diced up for easy digestion-
1 egg - hard boiled - cut up in small bites

On the days you don't do a Yam or Sweet Potato : use 3/4 cup of green cooked peas or 3/4 cup of mushed up green beans - diced up small.

You can also give 3 tablespoon of 2 % low fat cottage cheese ( A few times per week as a snack)
Another snack is 1/4 cup to 1/2 cup of Activia yogurt ( van flavored is fine)-
The cup sizes I believe are only 6 ounces ....

This is enough food for 1 day between your 2 dogs.
Feed each dog 1 1/2 cups in the am, and then 1 cup in the pm.
( YOU can add a little more food into the PM meal if needed)

Other Snacks:
Snacks can be the dry kibble or some of the Life's Abundance Holsitic treats - see link above:

Supplements:
Calcium from crushed egg shell--- VERY crushed and mix into the food .
Every - other - Day : please give 1/2 teaspoon Crushed Egg shell - must be very crushed.
or you can buy Bone Meal supplement -  your dogs only need a small dosage of the Bone Meal OR the egg shell .   Bone meal can be found at any health store.  Call around and see what you can find in Bone meal.

Daily NuVET Wafer  ( I know you are already on this!)  GREAT
NuVET will balance out this home cooking - and it is EASY on the belly.... Easy to digest
NOT sold in stores - please go here:

Salt:
Also, add a few little dashes of salt per meal.

I have many more recipes but you need to take this Slow ....
Start out with using Chicken a few days and then do the Beef.
Always drain out the excessive grease from the beef meats.
