kidney stones

Question
Our little Humane Society mix (yorkie) just returned home from surgery.  The vet took 4 huge stones out of her.  She cautioned us about her new diet.  She kept one stone to send in and have analyzed so we know which dog food will be best for her.  But she also said that could take two weeks or more.  In the meantime, can you suggest any commercially prepared food which would not complicate her system.  Our local store had nothing for UTI for dogs.  ALSO, I'd like to try some homemade recipes if possible. What would you suggest? Preferably not raw.  To complicate things, she is a very picky eater.  Thanks for any advice you can send my way.

Answer
Addition -  I see you asked "another expert" about dog food choices:  PLEASE be very concerned with commercial brands.  You only have a few choices from your Vet, or to make your own food.

Please do not just buy a dog food that is for " all dogs" ---- YOUR baby has special needs and must have a special formulated food.

Hello - You can make your own dog food and it will be Much better than the Hills C/D that the VET sells you...
Here is a recipe to try: - easy to make and freeze up weekly / also, you will need a good vitamin supplement ( NuVET ) and a Cranberry supplement, too.
SEE here :

- CRANBERRY ~
Supplements:

Cranberry - you will need this to help balance out the urine

GREAT for kidney health:
