Hi I have a three months old pitbull puppy, they told me it is alright to add raw egg to her dry puppy food I wanted to know is this true and if it is, I would like to know how often do I add it to her food, is it once a week or everyday thank you for you respond.

Hi Jay,
I wouldn't do this with such a young puppy, I would cook the egg. But a lot of people feed raw from a very early age with no deleterious  effects.  I would focus on getting the best premium food for the pup and using a rotated variety of treats - egg one day, turkey the next, beef heart a third day, sardine on the fourth, and so on.  You don't technically need to add anyting if you areusing a good dry food, but dogs enjoy variety and we love to feed them. I'd suggest adding a little - again premium grade - canned food to the dry, and use the high grade treats for training.
Don't add any one food item over and over, day in/day out, unless it's a balanced canned food.
