Excessive shedding

I have an 8 year old black lab and rottweiler mix and its January and she is shedding even more then in the summer. Also her skin looks really dry and and it looks like dandruff on her also. Can you please help me i don't know what to do!!

Hello Christian,

This is a problem that a lot of owners see in the winter months when we are using our furnaces.  The dry air will dry out the skin and coats and cause shedding and of course dry skin.  Adding a supplement to your dogs diet is one way of helping.  Go to my website and read about Nuvet, I love this supplement for this very reason.  Also, bathing once a week with an oatmeal dog shampoo can help as well.
