QUESTION: she is a female about 10 years old. she has been yelping (single yelp) out of the blue sitting or laying. she is not sleeping and when I take her out she doesnt go to the bathroom.

QUESTION: I think she might have had a seizure when I wasnt around and was trying to recover. she has had a few in the past years ago. she is getting back to normal now. its hard when they get old. just put my other one down in november (arthritis) meds werent helping her.

Hi Again:
If she is having seizures again, you may want to get her back on some meds... The Phenobarbital is a good one and it will help to keep her balanced thru her last years of life.
She can live another 2-4 years.. Depends on her mom and dad and how long they lived.  

Make sure you feed her wet food - a good holistic brand 3 x per day - very small amounts... ( wet food on top of the dry kibble)

Keep her blood sugar levels up - Chi dogs tend to get low blood sugar or hypoglycemia..
