puppy constipation

I just brought my 6 week puppy home yesterday.  I'm feeing her the same puppy food the breeder gave me along with lambs milk.  Tonight she's constipated.  She trys and tries to go but nothing comes out.  Is this normal and what can I do to help?

I don't know if lambs' milk has the same lactose as cows' milk or not.  Either way, if you are feeding a decent puppy chow, adding lambs' milk or anything else will just mess up the carefully balanced formulation.  Constipation is rare in new puppies.  It could be caused by the milk.  Discontinuing the milk may cure the problem, but I am not sure you should wait to see.  At least talk to a vet today.
