fibre for dogs

hi, i want to add a natural food into my dogs diet to add some extra fibre, is there a natural food i can add to give them a little more fibre ? thank you sean

The best source of natural fiber that I can think of is 100% canned pumpkin. You don't want to get the kind with sugars and such added. Just look for the straight pumpkin. It's great for helping with loose stools because it does have a high amount of fiber.

Metamucil and other over-the-counter powder fiber supplements are also safe for dogs. I'd check with a vet on the appropriate dosing, however. You don't want your dog to get too much fiber.
