min.schnauzer /8 yr old/ 3 mon King Charles spaniel

Have had the schnauzer for 8 yrs..just got puppy from Ireland.
puppy is fine on Wellness food (dry) Schn. is on SO and Diet food
and has had diarreah and threw up. She is also very jealous of attention to the puppy.. has also been operated for stones. She
seems so depressed, just hides and sleeps since coming home from vet.She was also on Phenobarb for one seizure she had. Have you ever found that a dog can make themselves ill with a new dog around...as she was just fine til the puppy came. Thanks, C.

Ok, some of this is probably a behavioural question - I'll throw in my two cents here (I am also a TTouch practitioner in training and have some behavioural background, but it's not my expertise here at AllEx).

What kind of puppy did you get? What is the SO, this is Science Diet? The Wellness will be much more palatable, can you upgrade the schnauzer's food too? Why did the vet go straight to phenobarb over ONE seizure?

I do think there's a number of things going on here, can you consider a home made diet at all for the adult?
