Homemade dog food recipes for specific breed and age

Hi there, I have four dogs ; 6 month old chinese shar pei, 5 month old German shepherd, 6 month old great Dane and a 14 month old great Dane. I have been feeding all of them the same food but I don't feel they should be eating the same diet and also think they would greatly benefit from my making their food. Please help with recipes for each pup and amounts. They all eat twice a day and are eating Diamond naturals large breed puppy food. Please help me better feed my pack!! Thanks!! I'm also interested in finding out some information for natural flea prevention this summer. Thanks again!

I was sure I responded to this question so I am a little confused. Have you thought about home cooking for your dogs? Different breeds do not necessarily need different diets except for amounts and special situations. As far as amounts, I cannot answer that reliably since I don't know how much exercise they get, what your vet says etc. Why do you think that they need different diets? This is an area that I would like you to discuss with DoniaSea@aol.com. She will not charge you, adores dogs and is a genius with supplementation when people want to home cook for them. She will definitely mao out recipes for you but she will not be able to tell you amounts..everyone knows that amounts depend on variable factors and that one size does not fit all. CAn you see an hour glass shape when you look down? CAn you feel ribs? Are they getting enough exercise? As far as flea prevention there are plenty of natural remedies touted with no documention or at least not truly accurate documentation as to their effectiveness. Garlic is something some people swear by but I won't do it. Garlic can be used as a short term antibiotic but should not be used long term with dogs. Sorry,I cannot be more helpful in this area. I, myself, went back to Frontline and it killed me cause I don't want to use this toxic stuff on my dogs but I know live in an area where ticks are rampant and I am not trusting my dogs tick health to undocumented natural rememdies any longer. But this is me. What kind of area do you live in??
