Question
I am a new owner of a pitbull pup. Right now i am feeding Purina puppy food...Is there a certain food that will help with bone development, muscle development, as well as helping with their coat? I want him to be as healthy as I can make him. I want you to know I dont plan on fighting or anything else like that with him. He is a family pet and i want to take the best possible care of him.

Thank you for your time

Answer
Hi Jon,

Glad to hear you're interested in upgrading the food! There is no Purina product I can endorse, unfortunately, they are all very mediocre at best. The good news is there are many excellent foods for growing and adult dogs you can  look into. Far superior to Purina! Here are a few you can consider:

All topnotch foods, and there are others - Fromm Fourstar, Wellness, Merrick's come to mind.
Let me know if you have difficulty finding these products, and when you switch, do so slowly. The higher quality foods contain more meat and fat and can be challenging for puppy systems, so introduce about a third at a time.

Good luck with your new baby!
All the best, Catherine
