When will my husky stop growing.

Question
I have a 9 month old siberian husky and shes still pretty small. I was wondering when she will hit a growth spurt and how old will she be when she completely stops growing. Thanks so much!

Answer
Of course each dog is different, but most dogs hit their final height growth spurt around 8-12 months.  At around 14-16 months (usually closer to 12) you can generally have a solid idea of how tall the adult dog is.  Usually they have grown all they will in height and length at that point.  The next 6-8 months are usually spent filling out the frame with muscle and toning, so by 24 months you have your adult weight and sized dog.  Most dogs are actually pretty well set by 18 months, but of course it varies based on the individual dog.  So, not surprising if your female hasn't hit her spurt yet and is still seeming a little small.
