I am looking into buying a great dane within the next year, but my first purchase is going to be a new vehicle.  Now this may sound like a silly question, but I want to make sure that the vehicle that I purchase is going to be large enough to fit my great dane when he or she is full grown.  I was looking into buying a Jeep Cherokee but I was wondering if you could give me any suggestions on cars that work for owning a great dane.

Any of the larger cars/jeeps/estate cars will do.  I have transported an adult dane quite happily in the back of a Vauxhall Corsa with the parcel shelf removed.  They like to curl up and brace themselves against the side to prevent sliding about when cornering.  You will probably find that he/she will wedge themselves in one corner and stay their, when they have calmed down, at say 18 months.
