10 month old great dane puppy

My puppy spends about 6 hours a day alone.  It seems she sleeps most of the day and doesn't get into trouble when no one is home.  But once we get home from work, she starts with the non-stop "busy" behavior.  She takes dvds off the shelves, steals cell phones, remote controls, etc..  She is into everything consequently I have had to put everything beyond her reach, which isn't easy.  It seems she NEVER stops.  I walk her daily for an hour or so.  HELP! Any suggestions you have will be greatly appreciated.  Thanks.

You are lucky if she spends all that time on her own and doesn't cause any damage.  Most people find that that is when they get bored and start chewing.  She obviously gets her sleep while you are out and burns off her energy when you come home.

Play with her, fuss her and accept that you have a well behaved youngster.

Better still, don't leave her so long then she will sleep more when you are home.
