Skinny 12month female dane

Our female Dane gets 6 cup servings of Nutro Ultra Large Breed dry food daily (as suggested on package). We do add water and that seems to work for her nicely . Our question is ...she's tall but thin ,real thin! Her shape is similar to a Gray Hound. She will eat and drink herself sick if we let her . She has been eating/drinking like this since we brought her home at 7wks. What are we doing wrong or is this normal. We thought about changing her food in hopes she'll gain weight and be satisfied. Is this a good idea ? And what type of brand food would you suggest is good for Danes?

You need to add meat to her diet.  Minced raw tripe is our preference, about 1 lb or 450 gms each meal.  Fedd her twice a day, assuming she is over 12 months.

Give her processed milk in between with an egg beaten in.  We use calf or lamb milk replacer from the local farm stores.

If she doesn't put weight on see the vet but don't be persuaded to use the expensive foods they sell.
