Great Dane Vomiting

I have a 3 year old Merle Great Dane. About year ago he began throwing up at least 4-5 times a week. I took him to the vet and they said try smaller pellets of food. We've done that and he was good throughout the fall and winter. Now we are back to Spring again and this is his 2nd time vomiting this week. Sometimes it is just bile and other times it could be all of his food. Any suggestions?

Answer
No exercise for an hour before feeding and two hours after feeding.

Provide smaller meals more often.

Size of food is not relevant!

Give water before dry food and wet the dry food.

Mix dry food with raw, minced tripe.

We had this problem with a dog and eventually he had a gastric torsion so watch him closely.
