male or female?

male or female dane pups:  which makes the best pet for a family with children and a 7 year old female sheltie?  what are the differences in their persoalities?  is one more affectionate than the other?  we are trying to decide!

Answer
There is no difference really.  You will be told differently by people who have only had the one sex.  Having had both we find that it depends on the individual.

Boys are less trouble as they do not come into season twice a year which is quite messy.

Go see the litter and pick the one that gets to you first.  Do not be tempted to have the one that sits quietly at the back of the room, it is too timid.
