Question

Playtime on the lawn
Hello Ken,

I have a 5 year old fawn female Dane who is 95% perfect! Although recently diagnosed with DCM,when out for a walk she insists on "having a go" at most other dogs. Once past them she settles down to being a perfect dog again. I have taken her to training classes etc but with little success (her size intimidates the other owners,Hi!). She has always had a loving home including her previous owner, but never properly socialised and I fear its a bit late to even try now, or so I am told.I have tried most of the usual methods,ie, walking on and ignoring the other dog, changing direction and so on.Would welcome any suggestions though. SAMSON mentioned earlier from Liskeard, was Roxy's playmate. A wonderful character sadly no longer with us.

Answer
She sounds hyperactive.  Take her off any foods with E numbers such as preservatives and flavourings.  Compare your food with cans of soft drinks and if they have the same E numbers change the complete.

Keep up the training, there is no magic in training just hard work.  There is no diagnosis at long range.
