What is wrong with my Dane?

I have a 7 month old female. She is a great dog but the last month she had tried to aggressivly bite me out of the blue. I am currently pregnant and i am wondering if my dog has issues or if i am giving off a scent she does not like due to the pregnancy. I am the only one she has gone after. I have 2 kids and a husband that have had no problems. What should i do with her?

The odour you are giving off has upset her.  She thinks she is the alpha bitch and only she can get pregnant.

Find a book on wild dogs and wolves which will explain it all.  The problem could get worse, in the wild the alpha female will kill the pups of a lesser bitch in the pecking order.  You will have to keep her away from you and the child until she is properly trained to know her place as a sub-dominant bitch.

With non-dominant bitches the trouble is usually the other way round, they stop anyone getting too close to the wife and baby.


You could try seeing a behaviourist.
