I have a 41/2 year old great dane

I need help with my dane.  She is my best friend in the world, and I noticed she suddenly started limping on her back leg about 4 days ago, but I had her looked at and tested for everything hip problems and all!  The vet said she was the most sound great dane he had ever seen.  I think she fell and her ankle is a little swollen, and she won't put it down, are there any home remedies to help with this.. I am a poor college student and I want to know if there is anything else I can do to help her, it just kills me to see her like this.. Please help me. she is my best friend.  Thankyou Jenn.

There are no home remedies.  Try bathing the swollen ankle with warm water to ease it for her.  Ask the vet for anti-inflammatories, that should take the swelling down.  If it doesn't clear up with a few days take her back to the vet and ask for an X-ray.  In the mean time get some remadyl pain killers for her.  I use them on our dogs when they knock themselves and they work well.
