Great dane color change

Question
Hello. I have a male great dane that just turned 3 months. He is a blue fawn. When I got him, he just had the "blue" color around his nozzle and ears. Now, his chest is almost all blue and so is his back. His feet are even turning. How long might this go on? What color will he end up being? I don't think that they can just change colors. Mom and dad are both blue. Please help. Thanks.

Answer
I cannot really answer your question as to how long his coat color will be changing and what color he will end up being as an adult. Usually they won't change colors, but if he has FAWN in his pedigree, then that is where that color may be coming from. If you got him from "Color Pure" lines and he has the fawn gene it the pedigree then you were mislead. I would go back into your puppy's lineage and see what other colors there were...and it may be further back then 6-8 generations but the color could still appear out of no where generations later...
