Question
I adopted by 11 month old great Dane two weeks ago. He has settled in really well, he eats well and drinks normally. He has Beta large adult dog dry food with a small quantity of tinned food added to it.  He is very lively and happy but he still continues to have sloppy pooh.  Should I be worried.  Thank you.

Answer
Diane,
If your puppy is still having diarrhea you need to switch him to a better feed. Because you are in the UK I am not sure what kinds of food they sell there. I know you should be able to get Royal Canin, if you can they have a large breed adult and a large breed puppy, whichever has a lower protein that is the one you want to go with. I can do some more research for you or if you would like to send me what food you have access to, I can tell you which ones would work the best. If he continues to have diarrhea after you've switched the food and given him time to get used to it I would take him to the vet and have his stool looked at to make sure that he doesn't have any parasites which can also cause loose stools.
