Food issues with Great Dane

Hello- our wonderful Great Dane has been having some trouble with food. We're feeding Nutro Natural Choice - lamb & rice DRY food, mixed with one can of CANNED food each day.  This seems to be leaving him with runny stools. Should we drop the canned food entirely, and only do the dry food, and if so, shoudl we wet down the dry food?

Answer
Always wet the dry food.  We mix dry with raw minced tripe and have no problems with eating or stools.  Canned food is mostly water and does tend to give them the runs.
