Great Dane Puppy makes a snorting sound

I have a 5-mos female great dane puppy. Sometimes she will make a snortng or grunting sound while she's sniffing the ground or toy or what ever else she may be smelling.  She doesn't appear to be having breathing problems and she is eating well, and is very much a playful puppy. Is this sound normal? On another note she isn't spayed yet, but I will be scheduling that after her 6th month mark.

It is completely normal for a Dane puppy to make snorting sounds. Some of them will grow out of it, others will snort at times like sniffing the ground our when they sniff other dogs. You don't have anything to worry about with her nesting unless there are other symptoms present of course. 6-7 months is the prefect age to get her spayed, that way you are reducing the risk of ovarian cancer as well as putting her through her first heat.
