Question
I have a 11 mth old Great Dane who shows signs of aggression. She normally will only growl but around Christmas time when we had some guest over she growled and snapped her teeth in the 16 mth old child's face. She has also growled at my 11  year old who was sitting next to her in the floor and went to pet her. She two nights ago growled an lunged my at 11 year old when she started to pet her legs and then when another guest walked by she growled and snapped at him. He was only walking by as she was lying down, and not even running or walking fast. Last night, we had some guest over, I was sitting on a couch and she had climbed up with me. (this was her first time sitting on a couch) A little boy came over to pet her and she started to growl his mom who has raised Danes before, bent slowly down and put her hand in front of the little boy (18 mth) and said give her her space honey. As she was pulling him backwards, he put his hand up to  pet her and she snapped in his face and then put his arm in her mouth. She did not bite all the way down and no red marks on the little boy but it was the action that still happened. What do I do?

Answer
Sara,
Your puppy needs behavior modification. Without being able to evaluate her I cannot give you advice on what to do with her. What I can tell you is that if this behavior is not corrected as soon as possible, she will become a biter. At that point your options are slim, once she had made contact and drawn blood, no rescue will take her because she has a bite history. If you re-home her you are still liable for her biting someone else. What I can do is if you give me your location I can put you through with someone that will be able to help stop this behavior from getting any worse and they will help you manage her. How old was she when you got her? When did the aggression start? What do you normally do when she does aggress? Has she been spayed? At this point I would keep her away from people until you get the right help, it will be harder to train her if she had bitten and drawn blood. If you get back to me I will help you out as best as I can.
