17 month old Great Dane too thin

I am currently dog sitting a 17 month old Great Dane for a friend. He has been here with me for 2 months now.  He seems so thin to me. I feed him the proper food and 2 - 3 times a day. I was thinking because he is so young he burns more calories than he takes in...What can I give him besides the diet he is on which is a Giant Breed Dry food and a meat. I feel he needs atleast 10 pounds.

What type of food is this Dane eating? How much do you think he weighs now and how tall is he? How much daily exercise does he get? How many cups are you feeding him per meal?

You should not have to supplement his food with anything if you are feeding him the right amounts and the right type of food.

If you can answer these questions I will be more able to answer your questions.

I apologize for not getting an answer back to you sooner, I have a lot of family things going on and my son was sick these last couple of days and I haven't had a chance to sit down to write everyone back.
