pregnant dane

where do danes carry puppies?  i have a black dane who may be pregnant.  but she is very hard to watch for typical signs.  i think her rib cage is expanding.  but we are still debating if she is pregnant or not.  our vet doesn't do ultrasounds and can't check for pregnancy til 45 days.  any suggestions?

A vet should be able to do a blood test on day 21. If your vet does not do the blood tests or the ultrasounds then I would find another vet that does. If your Dane is not pregnant I would highly suggest that you make an appointment to get her spayed, there are way too many dogs and puppies in shelters to have unplanned litters.

Unless you have a purpose for breeding your dog like the conformation ring or performance classes, you should look into spaying as soon as possible to avoid debating whether or not your dog may or may not be pregnant.
