my dane

Question
Last night our dane boomer picked up our minidaustshund and shook her breaking the skin on one side of her throat. I was standing in the doorway beside boomer and it was dark I was calling jesse in. I'm trying to figure out what caused this as neither of them have ever had any problems with each other or anyone else for that matter. Boomer is extremly protective of me so I have wondered if she thought jesse was something else. My husband says she wouldn't make that mistake tthat it is jealousy.

I encourage you to find a Behavior Specialist and get these issues addressed with your dogs behavior as soon as possible.
