great dane puppy diarreha

my puppy  has diarrhea all the time I slowly switched the food to blue Diamond large breed puppy and  the vet gave her some medicine but now that it is gone she is back to having diarrhea again any help would be appreciated! oh she is 9 weeks old and had her first shot for parvo last week.

Have you tried to add any probiotics or yogurt to her food? These are natural enzymes that will help her digest the food better. Sometimes puppies just have diarrhea, and they grow out of it. However, you do need to be careful because a puppy could easily dehydrate.

I would try the probiotics or the yogurt and see how that goes for about 4-5 days. If the diarrhea does not go away, I would suggest that you try her on another food.

I do have to ask, did you follow the prescribed amount for switching over to the new food? Danes seem to have more sensitive stomachs then a lot of other breeds so making sure that you are following the prescribed mixture will usually alleviate the loose stools.

If that does not resolve the issue, look back at my posts and I have a few recommended foods listed in the other responses to puppy owners that also wanted to switch their dogs to a different food.
