Dane food

Ken,
I have a 7 week old dane and am so confused about what I am suppose to be feeding him. Some say go with a lower protein and the other half say go with the higher protein foods. Right now he is on a Pro Plan puppy food for Giant Breeds with a little bit of wet food mixed in but I am afraid I am feeding him the wrong things. Please help. I just want to do whats best for him. Thanks, Sally

We recommend fooding 25% protein for the first year.  After that they need more carbohydrate to put the body on.  Feeding high protein shouldn't do any damage.  The problem is that when breeders have a problem they blame the food instead of their rearing or the genetics of the parents.
