Dane pooping enough?

20 9:01:22

Question
We have recently rescued a 2 yea old dane.  He had a rough beginning (he was rescued from a meth lab that was busted by the police).  However in just a few days he is already coming along strong.  My question is he doesn't seem to be pooping enough.  He eats twice a day (4 cups total), and has been eating fairly regularly; for instance, he last pooped the night before last.  Since then, he ate about 2 cups that night, 2 cups the next morning, two cups that night and two cups this morning, but has not pooped again.  I know he has a very large bladder and seems to hold it in for awhile.  Is it the same thing with his bowels?  Should I be concerned?  Other than that, he seems fine.

Answer
If he is fed twice a day then he should poop twice a day.  Try feeding meat with the WETTED dry food.

Also try taking him outside and wait with him, it helps his feeling of security.

Go to our website for feeding advice in PUPPY NOTES.  If that doesn't work take him to the vet.
