A puppy I am considering has blue eyes with an even amount of black and white over the body and ears.  It seems to have good eyesight and hearing.  When would problems related to deafness and blindness normally arise? Would it be by now or later....or at all if it seems normal now?

Deafness and blindness are apparent from an early age.  To test clap your hands behind the puppies head and show it a biscuit from some distance.

Black & white is known as harlequin, and they often have blue eyes. The white should be pure white and not mixed with black or blue.
