Elderly cat that refuses to eat

Question
Hi..I have a much loved elderly cat that has just stopped eating.  She has gone from 10 pounds to about 4 over the course of two months. I have taken her to two different vets and they can find nothing wrong with her.  Her blood work including thyroid is with in the normal limits. The vet could feel NO tumors, although one of them said that he felt that she had an enlarged lymph node. She has been through a course of antibiotics, has been force fed, had had sub Q fluids and is currently receiving Nutri-cal.  She is horrible thin and unkempt looking. She drinks a lot of water and urinates frequently but rarely has a bowel movement. She also has two sores on her back that I have no idea where they came from. She is weak and sleeps a lot, but yet still walks around, greets us at the door and still purrs when you talk to her.  She is at least 16 years old, maybe 17. I should be putting her down, but am haunted that we are missing something. Any ideas?

Answer
Wow Paulette, Poor cat kid.... Boy, sometimes it just happens that the vets just can't figure it out.  It could be as simple as an overgrowth of yeast and bacteria..... It is hard to say...
We can try a few supplements to help this old gal.
Can't hurt - Give it a try - who knows - we may be able to help thru nutrition.

First - Please feed her some canned pumpkin- ( pure pumpkin pie - no added sugar) - giver her two tablespoons per day - great calories and fiber.  ( if she likes it give her 3 tablespoons per day)

Next, buy some canned Innova Cat food - give her a few teaspoons in the am and a few in the pm.  Drizzle a little salmon oil over the wet cat food.  Salmon oil and the Innova Cat food can be found at most pet stores.

Also, please give your cat kid some of the Following Nature's Sunshine Products - Many of my clients take them - GREAT quality and human grade - YOU can take them ,too.

A.  Silver Shield -
Please give 1 teaspoon in the am and 1 teaspoon in the pm... Great for bacteria and virus - Natural Antibiotic -YOU should take some too each day - 2 teaspoons for you...

Keeps you healthy and well ....

Please apply this to the area 2 x per day -
This is good for any people or pets with areas that are not healing or infected:

TEA TREE OIl - A must for every family

I like the products because I know they are quality.  Many herbs and nature products don't work because they are POOR quality.
I know this works and the quality is Well above my expectations.
All have a 30 day , unconditional , money back guarantee.

Please let me know how she does with my referrals.
I help many people, all over the world, every day...I am glad to add you and your cat to my list.
Please e-mail me in a few weeks with an update on her condition.
I sure hope it is not too late for her.
