QuestionHi I have a 55 gal. freshwater tank with 3 baby shubunkins and 4 common feeder goldfish 2years old and 7 white cloud minnows....I'd like to add more fish like ryukin or fantails cause they're so handsome, but am I asking for trouble like bullying? thanks
AnswerWell the common rule of thumb for gold fish is 5 gallons per inch of them. You maybe able to add two more at the most. But be very careful and keep up with your water changes, things should go well. I wouldn't add more than two though. They all get huge, I hope this helps. Try to get the new fish the same size as the others, that way they might not pick on the new ones. when there is a big size difference and the other fish have been in there awhile they might pick on the new ones.
