Birthing my fry

Question
My question is, I have a female platy that is very pregnant. My tank is in need of a cleaning. When i clean my tank I use a gravel vacuum and remove the fish into another much smaller size 5 gallon tank. I would like to know if it would be possible to clean my tank while my fish are still in it. I have a 16 gallon tank and that is where they reside. I have about 11 neon tetras and 5-6 platies. I do not want to stress her out but i do realize as she is pregnant very little can do that so i would like the least stressful choice. does the tank have to be clean for her to have the babies or can it be a little murky as it is now. another question. i have two different varieties of platies mixed with male and female. I have sunburst that is orang yellow and black and another type of sunburst i cant rememebr what the namew is but is is just orange. no black. will they breed because I do not want all the males t harass only their species. hope i have provided all the necessary information. thank you and i look forward to hearing from you.

Answer
hey diana.
the reason your tank keeps getting cloudy is because you're over populated. 1in per gallon and usually you want to add 5gallons ontop of that so you want a 25 to 30 gallon tank.
if anything diana she is probably extreamly stressed at the moment.
Your best best is to do small water changes everyday until or if she releases the fry.
good luck and try investing on a bigger tank.
