open bottom fishtank help

Question
I need to know what kind of pump i will need to make an open bottom aquarium
my dimensions for the tank is as follows:

2 - 14wx5
2- 17x5h
this will be the shallowere open area then in the middle will go a taller box that is 8.5 across and 7 deep and 17 high

can you please help me I have had a dreadful time trying to figure this out

go to youtube and type in my unusual aquarium for a video of what im building

Hi Beau,
Well, I don't personally have any experience with open bottom aquariums so I don't feel like the right person to advise you on this or that.

But they are truly amazing aquatic environments and you are so lucky to have the opportunity to have one!!
