Breeding/Medicine

Question
Yeah this is two semi-unrelated question.
    The first is that I have a serious hydra outbreak in 20 gallon half land tank.
More like 1/4 land. It contains Danios, White Clouds, Rasboras, Guppies,
Firebelly NEwts, Firebelly frogs, Rice patty frogs, and some apple snails. I want
to get rid of the hydras which I think came from some like tubifex worms. I
was wondering what medicine would be appropriate to erradicate the hydras
without hurting the amphibians. I don't really care about the snails.
    Secondly I have another tank (10g) with 6 white clouds (Tanichthys
albonubes) and I was wondering if I could get some breeding advice. :D
    THank-you!

Answer
Hi Andrew;

I've never had to deal with Hydra but here is a link to an article by another hobbyist and what they did about it;

White clouds are actually pretty easy egglayers to breed. Give them a good diet to fatten up the females and so they develop eggs. Make frequent water changes to simulate spring rains and they should readily spawn. Provide plenty of plants or spawning mops for the eggs to adhere to and for the babies to hide in. White clouds do like a lower temperature, around 68f or so. If it goes above 72f they may not breed. Here are some web pages with more details in case you need more help;
