Questionunknow fish
QUESTION: HI just moved into a new home and the previous tenants left some fish behind that i said i would look after. please could you help me identify them . thank you
paul hughes
ANSWER: Hi Paul,
African Cichlid! He requires lots of hiding places, warm water of 80F and is considered to be an aggressive fish.
His specific type is a Malawi Cichlid, occurring in nature in the Lake Malawi region of Africa.
They are easy to raise and should be fun to watch.
Specifically choosing which one of the many, many varieties of striped Africans would take an entire body shot, but he could be Demo or a Zebra or many other types.
If you'd like to send in a less greened image, a total body shot, I will take a more difinitive look.
Happy fish-keeping.
